Monica Poremba practices civil litigation and administrative law with an emphasis on environmental, municipal, and land use planning matters. She was called to the Bar in 2017. Prior to joining Eric K. Gillespie Professional Corporation, she gained valuable experience during articling and as counsel at the Canadian Environmental Law Association. She also gained municipal law experience as counsel at a downtown Toronto firm.
Monica holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto, and also completed two years of law school at the University of California, Irvine. While at UofT, she won the McRuer Scholarship and Goodmans Prize in administrative law, and won awards for the highest grade in Sports Law and Insurance Law at UC Irvine. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology & Legal Studies, with a specialization in Criminology from the University of Waterloo in 2011.
In her spare time, Monica enjoys running, cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays, and spending time with her dog Ollie.
